Data requirements

Register with the platform by entering your name, postal address, e-mail address and degree programme(s). Except for your telephone number, all data you fill in during registration are marked with a red asterisk, indicating mandatory fields. Having your telephone number makes it easier for the alma Team to contact you if necessary.

Please note that degree programmes are grouped in categories so that mentees can search not only for specific degree programmes but also for categories such as "natural sciences" or "social sciences".

Will my data be visible?

Except for your degree programme(s), none of the data you fill in during registration will be visible to other users. Only your first name and the first letter of your last name will be displayed on the platform. In order to authenticate your identity, you will be automatically assigned a symbol, which will appear next to your name on the website.

For details, see our Privacy Policy

After registration

During registration you will receive a link by e-mail. Click on the link in order to verify your e-mail address.

In the "Mentoring" section of your profile page, you can specify your role as a mentor or a mentee.  You can also take on both roles, for example as a mentor in the "Career entry" section and as a mentee in the "Self-employment and start-up" section.

If you click on "How to become a mentor", you will first be asked to authenticate your identity by uploading your ID as a .jpg file. (See "Authenticate your identity & complete profile")
